RATES
Square Inch Price
I charge 2 - 3 cents per square inch for all designs.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .02 = $97.60 or
4800 x .025 = $120 or
4800 x .03 = $144
My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.
I also offer trimming services for $15 for a small to twin sized quilt, $25 for a queen or king sized quilt.
If you would like me to make and attach binding to your quilt, please supply the fabric and specify whether you would like the binding machine stitched to the back and front of the quilt (0.15 per linear inch) or machine stitched to the front and hand stitched to the back (0.25 per linear inch). To calculate linear inches, simply add up your width x length of your quilt. If your quilt is 60 inches by 80 inches, the cost for machine stitched binding, front and back, would be 60 +60 + 80 + 80 = 280 linear inches x 0.15 = $42. Binding is made on the straight of grain.

Batting
I use and stock my favorite batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend, and 100% cotton. If you are using my batting, please specify your preference.
Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.
I charge for batting by the linear inch from queen rolls of batting except in the case of special orders. I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 5" margin) and charge per inch.
For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 65" of the batting of your choice.
Batting Pricing:
65" of 100% cotton deluxe loft @ $0.42/in = $27.30
65" of 80/20 cotton/poly blend @ $0.30/in = $19.50
You may also supply your own batting.
Thread
I stock Superior Threads Omni (#40 weight), Innovatech (#40 weight), Isacord (#40 weight) and YLI threads. Bobbin thread may be from these manufacturers or Bottom Line. Thread use (single color) is included in your square inch price. Use of multiple thread colors in a single quilt will be charged at custom quilting price, beginning at $0.04 per square inch.
My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference on thread color.
Photography
I'm not a professional photographer but I do my best to take "nice" photos :) Upon completion of the quilting, I will take photos of your quilt in my well-lit studio and then text/email you those images to use however you would like. I'd just ask that you credit me for the photo and/or quilting if posting publicly. This extra service is included in your square inch price.
Shipping
Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.
Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via Pirate Ship, often through USPS Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $50 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your intake form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but I don't require it.
Other Costs
As mentioned above, batting is not included in the square inch price. If you purchase a pantograph design I do not have, you will be charged for the pantograph. Preferred sites for pantographs include those I know stitch out well: urbanelementz.com, mycreativestitches.com, sweetdreamsquiltstudio.com, and Wasatch quilting, at digitizedquiltingpatterns.com.
